Meet Your Trainer
Emily is a dedicated Social Worker with over 13 years of experience specialising in safeguarding and supporting vulnerable individuals, including work in child protection and with families affected by mental health challenges, domestic abuse, and disabilities. Her roles with the British and American military have further honed her skills in ensuring safety for children in complex environments.
As a certified trainer with a Level 3 Education and Training qualification, Emily delivers engaging training sessions and develops safeguarding policies while also conducting audits and guiding organisations through the Ofsted process.
Her personal experiences, including growing up with a sister with disabilities and her advocacy for inclusivity through her role as a trustee at an LGBTQ+ organisation, deeply inform her practice. Proficient in Makaton and studying British Sign Language, Emily is committed to making a positive impact in safeguarding.
